Detroit music artist Bei Maejor recently released his new mixtape "maejorMaejor" presented by DJ Ill Will. The album includes features from fellow Detroit artist Mike Posner and Boston's own Sam Adams. I have heard previous mixtapes from Bei Maejor, and I thought they were straight fire...including this one.
He starts off with five of the strongest tracks on the mixtape. The next two songs are the interlude and outro which he calls "Enterlude" and "ExitLude" respectively. "ExitLude" really hits home for me because it samples the song from the movie "Friday Night Lights" called "Sonho Dourado" by Daniel Lanois. It's a very simple yet emotional song that brings back high school memories.
Songs 8-12 showcase the softer side of Bei Maejor as he raps about becoming a father in "Bundle of Joy. "Til We Get it Right" has a nice slow R&B beat to go with a catchy hook.

The next five tracks (13-17) are really chill and can put you in a good mood instantly. "I Fall to Pieces" has a reggae beat, "Just a Feeling" and "The Rebel Kids" have great lyrics and overall are great songs. "Show Off" is definitely a song you can blast when you feel on top of the world. I don't really like "Swim Well" because personally it's a little slow for me while he covers Frank Ocean.
Now to the last three songs of the mixtape. He calls them the "Party Pack" if I'm not mistaken because I'm too lazy to go look up the artwork. Anywho, I like "I'm Ragin" the best because it has somewhat of a "house music" feel to it and Sam Adams goes innnn. It is also a RAGING song.
We're gonna try this out today and see how I like it but I'm rating albums, artists, mixtapes etc... by the "SIZZLE SCORE" aka my opinion of the content. SIZZLE SCORE ranges from 1-10 (1 being the worst, 10 the best)
