All of these songs have been released in the past couple weeks, but I haven't gotten around to posting them. Now that I have some time, here is an early Christmas present from me to you. XV aka Vizzy aka the dude from Wichita, Kansas has the talent to blow up any day now if you haven't already heard of him. He's in my top 10 of favorite rappers at the moment, and believe me that's a tough list to break if I do say so myself. His style reminds me of a mix between Kid Cudi during his mixtape days and the multifaceted B.o.B.
"Hoop Dreams" is simple but flows and has a great beat. "Batteries" features Trae the Truth and has the flow/beat I am accustomed to from XV. Solid chorus along with verse from Trae the Truth. My favorite of all the three tracks though is hands down "The Kick" which samples the musical score from "Inception." If you don't like this song, then I don't think we can be friends. That's how good the song is because it's so original and the lyrics are FIRE. Give all three a listen, you WON"T be disappointed.
