Macklemore x Ryan Lewis "Same Love"

If there were nominations given out for most inspiring song of the year, this would easily receive one. Not only does this song speak on the very touchy issue of gay marriage, it provides lyricism and wittiness second to none. Macklemore has been one of the most influential and motivational artists in the industry during the past few years, and he continues to demonstrate his will to broadcast the "change the game, don't let the game change you" approach. Let me tell you, it works. As always, Ryan Lewis has an instrumental perfect for the poetic nature of Macklemore. The song is below, but make sure you go to his website to view the inspiring post he wrote about human equality. Good stuff.

Sizzlin Music Videos Of 2011 = "Otherside (Remix)" / "Pop Culture"

My favorite "serious" music video I guess you could say, that has a lot of meaning behind it is  "Otherside (Remix)" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. There is so much going on in the video, metaphorically and literally. If you haven't peeped it yet, be sure to refresh yourself with these amazing visuals. #sharkgang

Alright now time for the most fun music video of the year. This mashup by Madeon is absolutely filthy, and the music video does it justice, and then some. I can only wish to dance like this someday. Great song, and just a fun video to watch over and over and over...

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (feat. Fences) "Otherside" (Remix)

This might be my favorite music video. So much emotion and talent throughout the whole thing. I really like this as the remix too because the original song by these two uses the "Otherside" instrumental by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Can't wait to see these guys perform in AA.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis "The VS." EP

Here we go...honestly this is my FAVORITE EP I have heard, ever (thank you Casey!). I have never been more excited about a post. It was released in 2009 but deserves all the recognition it can get. This EP truly defines what hip-hop really is, poetry in motion. I can't describe the emotions I feel when I hear these songs. It seems all the feelings I have inside are laid out by Macklemore over the Ryan Lewis beats. Seriously, I haven't heard anything else like this. Good music is defined through this EP.

Don't wait another minute to download it. "Crew Cuts" samples The Bravery and is their uptempo song on the EP. This music might just change you, for the better. Oh yeah, how about this for "good music credibility", the song "The End" is in my TOP 5 SONGS OF ALL-TIME. It gives me chills every time I hear it. LISTEN NOW!!!!!!

"My God, seconds away from God, yes.
Somebody turned the heat on in this party,
Or we’re becoming one because I’m melting into your body..
one being, heart beating, universe falling."

 - The End

"Thinkin' I would never do that, not that drug
and growing up nobody ever does
Until your stuck, lookin' in the mirror like I can't believe what I've become
Swore I was goin' to be someone
And growing up everyone always does
We sell our dreams and our potential
To escape through that buzz"

- Otherside

The VS. EP = FIRE FIRE FIRE!

"The End" = FIRE

"Crew Cuts" = FIRE
