Mike Posner (feat. Big K.R.I.T.) "Wonderwall" (Oasis Cover)

4 days left until "The Layover" and Posner hits us with a remix/cover of the famous Oasis song "Wonderwall". I think Big K.R.I.T. kills his verse at the end. The sound effects and synths are a nice twist to the classic song.

Asher Roth "Common Knowledge"

Strong song from Asher, and the beat is insane.

"Common Knowledge" = HOT

Mike Posner (feat. Twista) "Hey Lady"

Posner sticks to his word and releases another track. Chill song talking about looking for love in all the wrong places.

"Hey Lady" = HOT

B.o.B (feat. Bun B & Big K.R.I.T.) "5 On The Kush"

Okay so I really don't care what the title suggests, the flow and beat is awesome. I love Bobby Ray, and I can't wait to here his new album "Strange Clouds". Chill hip hop.

"5 On The Kush" = HOT

Chiddy Bang "Ray Charles"

Loving this Chiddy Bang song sampling Ray himself. Really upbeat and a feel good type of song.

"Ray Charles" = FIRE

Mike Posner (feat. Bun B) "Rocket Man"

Posner covers the Elton John classic while Bun B does his thing. "The Layover" out November 20th.

"Rocket Man" = FIRE

Javier Colon "Stitch By Stitch"

In honor of his debut album that's coming out in less than 10 days, here's his single from "The Voice" which he released during summer. Absolutely amazing and deep song.

"Stitch By Stitch" = FIRE

Gym Class Heroes (feat. Ryan Tedder) "The Fighter"

This is the definition of a "radio song" so listen to it before you get sick of it when it hits the airwaves. Great song though, and I have been impressed thus far with the recent leaks of the "Papercut Chronicles II" album from GCH coming out next week. Everyone likes a good pop song once in while, right?

Top Lyrics

"I buy a bunch of 'em and put it on my black card, Now I got some street cred, Use it 'til it's maxed out, I got a girl on my arm dude, show respect, Something crazy, an Asian, Virginia Tech"

- Backpackers

"Sometimes I feel like I ain't supposed to be here, Sometimes I wake up, I don't want to be here, My mom loved to text me Psalm verses, She don’t look at me like I’m the same person"

 - All The Shine

"Listening to "Sky is the Limit" on my Walkman,Thinking if Biggie can make it through it, man then I can, Dope-boy swag, I always wanted that, But my persona was always more of that Arthur Ash"

- Hold You Down

I swear this album just made my day/week (along with "Take Care"). I have been riding Gambino for the last month or so, and this album pays off all the time spent listening to him. Seriously, there isn't anybody out there that does as much as Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino does for the music and television industry. He writes for 30 Rock, acts on Community and a damn good hip-hop artist, Childish Gambino, in the meantime. If you want REAL hip-hop music, look no further. A song by song review is below because he's that good.

1. Outside - Great opening track that really captures what Childish Gambino is all about; good, original, meaningful hip-hop music. The chorus is powerful with a choir singing the message of the song. FIRE

2. Fire Fly - Upbeat song with a nice intro. Talks about the struggle trying to become a hip-hop artist. HOT

Kid Cudi "To Da Top" (Unreleased)

Ahh some refreshing unreleased Cudi. Love the beginning of this song when he tries to figure out the right words to say. Enjoy good music.

Drake "Take Care" Album Review

Top Songs

1. Over My Dead Body
2. The Real Her (feat. Lil Wayne & Andre 3000)
3. Shot For Me
4. Take Care (feat. Rihanna)
5. HYFR (feat. Lil Wayne)
6. Look What You've Done

Top Lyrics

"Now that both of us, are colorblind, ’cause the other side looks greener, Which leaves your turf in a Boise State, can’t see a play or the team"

- The Real Her (Andre 3000 Verse)

"We know, they don’t get you like I will, My only wish is I die real, Cause that truth hurts, and those lies heal"

- Take Care (Drake Verse)

"Know you’ve been hurt by someone else, I can tell by the way you carry yourself, If you let me, here’s what I’ll do, I’ll take care of you, I’ve loved and I’ve lost"

- Take Care (Rihanna Chorus)

First impression of "Take Care" below:

The album leaked yesterday and is nothing short of spectacular with all the hype that has surrounded this album as being "album of the year". Classic Drake with about half low-key songs and the other half are upbeat and coming at you. The one line that stuck out to me is at the end of "Shot For Me" where Drake talks wisdom:

"May your neighbors respect you, trouble neglect you, angels protect you, and heaven accept you"

-Shot For Me

Childish Gambino "Heartbeat"

What would make your day better? Some new Childish Gambino, so here you go. Beat sounds like something from Justice, but I can't put my finger on it. It's the clean version and has a radio tag in it so it's not the best quality, but "Camp" drops in 9 days so get hyped!

"Heartbeat" = HOT

Amy Steele (feat. The Game) "Angel Fall"

Real chill song that The Game gets on in the beginning with a nice verse. The girl, Amy Steele, has a solid voice too.

"Angel Fall" = HOT

Shanell (feat. Drake & Lil Wayne) "So Good"

Nice R&B song from Shanell that features two heavyweights from Young Money. Drake goes innn.

Jitta On The Track

Aight aight this dude has been playing all night in my room. Found about Jitta On The Track who hails from Connecticut today, and he has some sick songs to go with his unique name.

If you download or listen to any of the songs at least listen to "Letters Pt. II" which remixes "You Found Me" by The Fray. Very very good song. "Closing Time" samples the Semisonic original jam and "Great Time" is a lyrical masterpiece that expresses anger and all the emotions during a break-up with a significant other."Hate Love" is an emotional song too that expresses what a lot of people feel in a relationship sometimes. Mixtape and "Letters Pt. II" below.

"Yeah and now it's here forever new life, some choose drugs I just choose life"

"Letters Pt. II" = FIRE

Nipsey Hussle (feat. Steve Jobs) "Who Detached Us"

Let me just say the late-great Steve Jobs kills it with his emotional speech that starts 3:15 into the song. Very inspirational and makes you think twice about living your life. Onto Nipsey, never have gotten into him, but this song makes me love him already. He mixes the beat from "Better Days" by The Game and spits fire the entire song. Don't sleep on this song!

"This world is turnin faster and faster, and once you felt the real it's hard to tolerate the plastic"

"Who Detached Us" = FIRE
