Slaughterhouse "On The House" Mixtape

What a great way to end the weekend with a new mixtape, and a great mixtape at that. Slaughterhouse lets loose their On The House mixtape which is a precursor to their upcoming album welcome to: Our House due out August 28. Although Eminem doesn't rap on the tape, he is featured as the chorus on "Juggernauts", just to give you guys a heads up. Hip-hop breathes another breath of fresh air today with Shady Records beginning their take over, again.

Obie Trice (feat. Eminem) "Richard"

Funny song by Obie and Eminem. Good to see these two back in action as this song will appear on Obie Trice's new album coming soon. It goes without saying how happy I am to hear a new song with Eminem and his verse doesn't disappoint.

"May never be the first dream on a champion team, You may be the star the world just hasn’t seen, But that don’t make you any less of a star to God,Being rich is only realising it’s all a facade"
Write Your Name
"Picture me rollin' Pac, it's funny how time has changed, Everybody's a critic now, it's all a debate on the internet wave, It used to be you and Biggie, Chili Pepper's Give It Away"
Radio

The debut album from Yelawolf "Radioactive" released today on Shady Records and let me tell you, I am VERY happy with how this album turned out. I honestly did not have any expectations for this CD because he has always been hit or miss with me, but this album is 95% a "hit" for me.

Eminem has really taken Yelawolf under his wing and made a dope CD out of it. I'll be honest, I can imagine Eminem goin' HAM on everyone of these tracks because A. he helped produce them B. Yelawolf reminds me a lot of Eminem early in his career.

These are a couple tracks that can still be played in full to preview from the CD.

Yelawolf (feat. Eminem & Gangsta Boo) "Throw It Up"

No this isn't the Lil Jon song, but it sure seems like it. Not for the faint of heart with the explicit lingo. This is set to be on "Radioactive" which is Yelawolf's debut album on Shady Records.

P.S. - Eminem absolutely slaughters his verse which starts at 3:10. Fastest I've heard him rap in a while.

Yelawolf (feat. Kid Rock) "Let's Roll"

Second single off "Radioactive" releasing November 21st in stores. It goes without saying that Eminem had a lot to do with pulling off this collaboration. Sick song.

Eminem Birthday Tribute

First off, happy birthday to the best rap artist alive and my favorite artist in general, Eminem aka Slim Shady aka Marshall Bruce Mathers aka Jimmy Smith aka B-Rabbit. The dude turned 39 today and shows no signs of releasing his choke-hold on the rap industry. "Kill the rumors it ain't happenin, cuz Ima rap til I'm fossil fuel". This was the last line in the Shady 2.0 Cypher from the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards and the latest reason why age isn't a factor for him.

Eminem has boosted the reputation of Detroit as a powerhouse for breeding rap artists. I don't think there is another artist from any genre of music in the past 10 years that has done so much for a single city and the music industry. With over 32 million albums sold during the past decade, which is the most by any artist, Eminem proves why he is the most influential artist of the century.

I am a firm believer everyone likes at least one Eminem song, and if not then I guess you are ignorant to real musical talent (sorry for not being sorry). No matter what level you connect on while listening to an Eminem song, it has moved you in one way or another. He truly pours his heart out into every song, and I think that's why we love him so much because he is REAL and speaks the truth. Hopefully he blesses us all with another masterpiece soon. "WHAT UP DETROIT? STAND UP!"

Here are my Top 10 all-time favorite songs from the 313 representer, Eminem:
  1. "Lose Yourself"
  2. "Not Afraid"
  3. "8 Mile"
  4. "Stan"
  5. "Sing for the Moment"
  6. "'Till I Collapse"
  7. "Space Bound"
  8. "The Real Slim Shady"
  9. "Love the Way You Lie"
  10. "Beautiful"
